Morris: Photographer
Morris (1914-2005) was a devoted brother, husband and father, office manager, and amateur photographer. One of his favorite pastimes was reading historical novels about the French and Indian war, which took place in New York State and Canada. He enjoyed taking photographs on family outings and vacations. He had a good eye for an interesting composition. For his first photographs, he used a Kodak Brownie. Next a manual wind film camera with flash bulbs. Eventually, he had a 35mm film camera with manual focus and electronic flash, a real treat. He left behind hundreds of color slides. As the slides are sorted and scanned, they will be added to the online collection.
Morris's parents were Polish and Russian immigrants. The family lived in Dorchester, Massachusetts on Columbia Road.
High-quality photographic prints of Morris's work will be custom printed to your order. Please inquire about sizes and pricing. Prints are all archival materials.
